Workshop: Evidence-based decision-making at EU level
About the Course
This course covers evidence-based decision-making in the evaluation and conception of EU legislation. Participants will learn how the European Commission conducts ex-post and ex-ante impact assessments, who is involved, and how to engage in the process. The course also explore the role of inter-service steering groups and the Regulatory Scrutiny Board, as well as how to contribute to consultations and Calls for Evidence. Finally, it examines the balance between evidence and political factors in EU decision-making and how to develop effective Socio-Economic Analyses (SEAs).
