Daniel Guéguen

Senior Advisor

With 50 years of experience, Daniel Guéguen is a prominent expert of European public affairs. He served as Director General of the European Sugar Federation and Secretary General of COPA-COGECA. In the latter half of his career, he founded PACT European Affairs, specializing in post-Lisbon Treaty comitology procedures, and created the European Training Institute. A prolific author, his books and writings on the EU are widely recognized and translated into multiple languages. Daniel Guéguen is also an active educator, teaching at prestigious institutions like Georgetown and the College of Europe. His advocacy for a more effective and democratic EU is reflected in his numerous articles, blogs. Daniel Guéguen holds a law degree and operates fluently in both French and English.

Vicky Marissen is an expert in European Public Affairs with a legal background and extensive experience in EU decision-making processes. She has been assisting companies and organizations in regulated sectors, like food and pharmaceuticals, by helping them navigate complex EU procedures and develop effective engagement strategies for more than a decade. Vicky is a Visiting Professor at the College of Europe, teaching Delegated and Implementing acts, and she has co-authored several key publications on EU legislation. She is fluent in English, French, and Dutch.

 Meglena Mihova

Partner

Meglena Mihova brings over 20 years of experience in European public affairs, helping industry align their strategies with European Union policies, ensure compliance with EU laws, and provide constructive contribution to the decision-making process. Meglena is recognised for her expertise in the EU environmental and chemicals policy and regulations. She has significant experience in impact assessments, helping clients to formulate and  present evidence-based arguments to EU institutions, demonstrating the potential benefits or drawbacks of legislative proposals. She is a regular speaker at conferences, webinars and authored articles on the EU chemical legislation.

She served as a Member of the Board and prior to that as a-Chair of the Environment Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce in the EU.  She holds a Master’s degree in International and European Law from the University Paris II Pantheon-Assas and graduated from the Institut de Hautes Etudes Internationales in Paris.

Jacobo Truan Aguirre is an expert in EU Public Affairs with a focus on political dynamics and regulatory strategies, particularly within the European Parliament. At EPPA, he advises on highly political topics in regulated sectors, helping businesses navigate the complex EU political landscape. Together with business and governments, Jacobo has contributed to several legislations such as the reform of the Common Agricultural Policy or the EU fertilizers regulation. Jacobo's experience includes roles at the European Parliament, the Spanish Permanent Representation to the EU, and multinational companies. He holds a Master’s degree in International Affairs, economics & politics and law.

Giulia Cosenza

Account Director

Giulia Cosenza is an expert in EU public affairs, stakeholders advocacy and engagement. She offers strategic guidance to clients, helping them navigate EU institutions and become influential leaders in the European landscape. With a background as an advisor at the European Parliament, she brings deep expertise in digital, sustainability and consumer goods policies with a focus on European Parliament relations. Giulia also co-founded Officine Italia, an organization that promotes dialogue between young people, Italian institutions, and the private sector. She holds a Master’s in EU Politics from the London School of Economics. 

Marianne Lamérand is the Development and Training Manager of the European Training Institute, where she focuses on expanding its executive education offerings. With expertise in European policy-making, she designs workshops for EU affairs professionals, blending academic theory with practical experience. Before joining EPPA, Marianne worked at the College of Europe, managing vocational training and EU-funded projects. She holds a Master of Arts in European Political and Governance Studies from the College of Europe and a Master’s Degree in Law and Public Administration from Sciences Po Strasbourg.
